Darrell Cole

Darrell Cole is an artist from London, who mainly grew up life in the multilingual country Belgium.

Born in 1989 to Sierra-Leonean parents, Darrell Cole set base in Belgium after escaping the political turbulence in Sierra Leone. Amidst all the chaos he found solace in music. With music always being played at home by his mother, Darrell’s passion for music cultivated, starting by learning the art of songwriting through writing lyrics of the songs his mom listened to.

Over the years Darrell has blended the cultures that build his sound. A tribute to the foundations that made Darrell Cole; his African roots, his base in Belgium, and his now recent links to London and Amsterdam. Darrell started his musical career in a rap collective with neighborhood friends, but was always focused on his own musical journey. With that, he released his first in-house album Uncut Diamond (2013). Darrell caught the eye of Sony in 2017, and soon after was signed to Sony Music Belgium for one year.2018 brought us Loading, STILL LOADING and Fully Loaded by Darrell Cole, 3 successive E.P’s each bringing it’s own unique story and sound.

In the past year Darrell signed to Empire US who helped him release his long anticipated project Return On Investment PT.1.His latest project Return On Investment PT.1 (ROI) turned out to be highly praised by the media and is already considered to be a classic by his fans. The EP features several European artists such as Kojey Radical, JVCK JAMES, Venna and Krisy. To top it off Darrell joined forces with Jarreau Vandal who remixed one of the lead singles of the project called ‘Bruddah’. An honorable mention is the original single ‘Bruddah’ being featured as the sound of a video on the official Instagram page of the England football team. The song was used by the team to signify everyone coming together and supporting each other amid the racism that some players experienced after the Euros 2020 final.
